Fitzpatrick School of Irish Dance

Located in the heart of Pittsburgh, next to Brother Andre’s Cafe, under Epiphany Catholic Church.

The Fitzpatrick School of Irish Dance was named after Siobhan’s great grandfather, Michael Fitzpatrick. Michael emigrated from Co. Leitrim, Ireland to New York City, via Ellis Island. He was a fiddler in the dance halls in New York upon his arrival and his love for Ireland was always a part of him in a significant way. His love for the Irish heritage left an impact on his family that remains to this day. In honor of him, Siobhan’s mother, Kathy, and aunts, Margaret and Mary started the Fitzpatrick School of Irish Dance in 1994, with several locations opening in the following two years. The Sellersville Branch of the school started in Kathy's dining room in 1996 with 6 students and exploded from there. That branch of the school taught by Kathy and Siobhan, enjoyed many students over 26 years!

Siobhan is excited to carry the tradition westward! Our school teaches traditional Irish dance. Our focus is on having fun, making friends, staying fit, building confidence though performance opportunities and learning the art of Irish dance.

We are so excited to hold our classes right at Brother Andre's Café in downtown Pittsburgh, located at Epiphany Catholic Church, where you will find plenty of free parking in the church parking lot. Brother Andre’s Café is a ministry of Move a Mountain Missions and is a coffee shop that was created to provide meaningful employment to individuals who live with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Brother Andres will provide a comfortable space for parents to sit and visit with one another during their child’s lesson. We are looking forward to being a part of the Brother Andre’s family as our school progresses.
